How it runs, start to finish
The first call establishes the shape: the community the wedding follows, the month, the guest count, and what the family will not compromise on. From there we send a shortlist of venues with real numbers — capacity, rooms, per-plate ranges — not brochures. We hold per-plate ranges for 26 Kerala venues, from ₹2,500 to ₹16,000 a head, on file since August 2026, not yet checked against a published rate.
Venue visits happen twice: once on video, walking the property, and once in person on your single planning trip, when the shortlist becomes a day or two of visits, the food tasting and the family sit-down. The design of the wedding — the stage, the decor, the flow of the day — is reviewed over video calls and approved in writing.
The goal for the wedding week is that nothing is left to decide. The schedule is written out in two timezones and the vendors are contracted and paid on the schedule you approved. Ask that the person who walked the venues with you on video is the person running the day.

Can you plan a Kerala wedding if we live abroad?
Yes. Planning runs on scheduled calls and video calls set for your evening, prices and decisions are confirmed in writing, and the plan is built around one trip to Kerala before the wedding week.
How do we see venues without flying to Kerala?
Ask for a video walkthrough of the hall, the lawns, the rooms and the kitchen, then the floor plan and the venue’s current rate in writing. By the time you fly in, the shortlist should be down to two or three, so a day or two of visits settles it.
How does a muhurtham work when the family is in another timezone?
The muhurtham is fixed in Kerala time by your astrologer, and everything else is planned backwards from it. The wedding-day schedule is written out in both timezones for the family abroad, and the planning calls across the year sit in your evening.
How do payments work from overseas?
Against a written schedule you approve before anything is booked. Each venue and vendor contract should name who is paid, how much and by when, and every advance paid in Kerala should come with a receipt you can see.
How many trips to Kerala will we actually need?
Plan for one before the wedding week. Use it for the venue decision, the food tasting and the family sit-down. Design reviews, vendor choices and guest logistics can run over video calls and written approvals.
Can you manage guests flying in from abroad?
Yes. Room blocks at the venue or nearby, airport pickups from Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut or Kannur, and a wedding-week schedule shared with every guest. All four are international airports with direct flights from the Gulf.
Do we have to be in Kerala to register the marriage?
Not any more. Kerala’s local bodies register marriages through K-SMART with video KYC, and the state says the application can be completed from anywhere in the world with the two of you in different places. The memorandum still has to reach the registrar for the place of the wedding within 45 days, with two witnesses who were there.
